The September edition of Plantgril Post is here! This month is a reflection of what I saw, what I made and what I celebrated in August.

The postcard is made from a picture I took while waiting for the tram on Elizabeth Street. I was a little grumpy because I had sent my A0 pattern printing to the wrong print shop and had to go slightly out of my way to collect it, but as I waited for the tram to take me back home, I savoured the moment I had, to take in the city and its glorious buildings. I'm really proud of this illustration; each month challenges me to make a drawing I wouldn't have thought I could make in the past, and so each season sees me growing. Oh and the back of the postcard is a little sketch of two crochet miffy's I ordered from a local maker here in Melbourne, one for me and one for my friend Sophie.

The sticker is a bouquet of daffodils, celebrating the start of spring, a tradition my mum and I share. This month's little extra is an A6 print, a drawing I made of my sewing machine and the new blouse I made on it. I love my sewing machine, and I feel so lucky to get to make my own clothes on it.

Another month of offerings that I am grateful to have made.



Date:  Saturday 1st August 2026A new edition of my post club has been sent out to subscribers! The postcard illustration was made from a reference pic I took of a textile in this book; looking back at it, I realised what a lovely scene it made. The reverse has a little drawing of a possum we saw perched on a fence in the park as we made our way home from Sheldon’s birthday dinner.

The sticker is inspired by meeting someone’s very nice dog in the park and wanting to reciprocate the joy you have received from spending a moment with such a nice dog! As I sit writing this out front of the cafe, I am graced with meeting Minute, a sweet and special dog that has taken his time to cross our path this morning.

I also made a new envelope, a couple of little drawings for the newsletter, and a little star chart made up of different house and shop façades. I truly pour my heart into this collection of goods every month, and it only gets better.





Date:  Thursday 30th July 2026I made two new bags, designed to be paired together but also equally functional apart. The inner is a cotton canvas tote, with flatfelled side seams and a heavyweight cotton webbing strap. It’s the perfect size for when you’re popping down to the library and need something to put your phone, wallet, keys and book in, maybe a few wee bits for dinner from the supermarket too,

The outer is a softer cotton shirting, with self bias binding straps, french seams, a drawstring top finished with bias binding and six internal pockets. This one makes a great knitting project bag with all those internal pockets for your measuring tape, crochet hook, stitch markers, etc. It also makes a great little date night pouch.

But where these bags really shine is together, all the utility of the canvas with all the charm and personality of the striped cotton. I set out to make something that felt special and one of a kind, while maintaining its usability, and I’ve been using it every day since!



Date:  Wednesday 1st July 2026Here’s what I’ve just popped in the post this month :-)

The postcard is made from a sweet and regular day my boyfriend and I spent looking after Hazel. I loved the way the shadow of the tree was sitting on the plain facade of the house, and over Sheldon and Hazel as they walked under it. The reverse is a slice of Basque cheesecake from The Flour (maybe the best in Melb). 

I also made two stickers this month, one of my David Hockney illo and another very special one inspired by my favourite baristas. The special smiley face coffee is one that my old flatmate used to make me; I cherished those special coffees so much I needed to immortalise them on this sticker!



Date:  Saturday 6th May 2026This week, I took a little time to sew a new textile for the home. I used some special scrap fabrics collected from a clothing shop in Kyoto and combined them with a soft natural cotton twill. I wanted to showcase the colours and weave of the fabric scraps while playing with some abstract representations of flowers, and overall make something sweet and calming for our home. I love it.



Date:  Monday 1st July 2026 Another month of Plantgril Postclub has arrived! This month, I was reflecting on my surroundings and special memories. The postcard features an illustration inspired by a shop front in my local shops. The real shop has been left in slight disarray, but the signage remains. This inspired me to imagine a new life for something that has so much potential! I paired this with some nice flora sketches on the back and a matching pot plant sticker, with a wee message for you and for me.

This month I also redesigned the newsletter, as I was realising each month that I actually had a fair bit to say! The redesign also saw a space to share some other drawings I had made throughout the month. I still wanted the sticker to be anchored to something, so I whipped up a little backing card.

Finally, the little extra for this month is a zine/poster documenting a special trip to the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Museum, a feast of beautifully preserved architecture and such a unique experience to be able to walk through and let the mind wander about life in these homes or public places.

Another month of post where I keep pushing to make something I’m so, so proud of. Hope you love it.



Date:  Friday 15th May 2026For a little while now, I have been toiling away, making some sewn offerings. I was really inspired by the bagware I saw in Japan last year, namely at Onomichi Hanpu and the Porter Flagship. I loved the all-canvas bags and have been inspired ever since to explore my own bag creation. This one was made for my boyfriend; it features two handles for holding, a cross-body strap for wearing, a key loop, and a place to hang a purse pal! I also made him a couple of matching snap-closure pouches, as I know he likes to use these.

I’m really proud of this creation, and I think it’s something many people would enjoy using and owning, so I’m working towards sharing this with those who would like to have their own!



Date:  Sunday 10th May 2026Throughout the months of April and May, I have been super lucky to have spent some time learning the art of Risograph Printing with Tree Paper Gallery! Each time I get to spend time in the Studio or make a print, my world expands a little. I love seeing my work in the physical with the magic of Riso added!



Date:  Friday 1st May 2026Here is the May version of Plantgril Post Club! I was deeply inspired by the Artemis II space mission, and what the astronauts had to share with us from up around the moon. This year, I am putting pen to paper to do what I can to make my dreams a reality. I am trying to become less risk-averse and put my creations out there, as it is the only way forward! I am immensely proud of this collection and feel that the vision I have for this offering becomes more of what I had dreamt it to be with each passing month.



Date:  Wednesday 1st April 2026Today i launched the April edition of post club! I am so proud of how this month's designs came together. It looks like such a cohesive and sweet set. This is now the third month of my little mail club, and I think it gets better each month! I am so grateful to the people who support my creative endeavours.


Date:  Tuesday 3rd March 2026I made a new painting, my first time using a linen panel! I really loved how smoothly the paints applied and the way my underpainting still shines through just the right amount. It always feels so good to make a new painting :-).

March 2026 March post club designs launched today! I was inspired by a trip home to Christchurch for the postcard, and by a tiktok I saw of a very noble dog riding a horse for the sticker! I woke up thinking about it and had to draw it immediately!


Date:  Sunday 1st February 2026I started a postclub! Each month I’ll be designing and sending out in the post an A6 postcard and vinyl sticker, all wrapped up in a custom envelope. This project feels like a dream come true, drawing what my heart desires and getting to see my work in physical print, and sharing it around the world. 

I’ve been making lots of little extras to send out too!

I’m running the subscriptions through patreon.


Date:  Wednesday 15th October 2025I was really missing a chore jacket in my wardrobe, so I set out to make my perfect version. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I drafted facings, pockets and the collar and finished it all with the neatest seams; almost every seam has a 5mm bias-binding clean cotton edge!


Date:  Saturday 30th August 2025I made a new commissioned painting for Lily. I couldn’t help myself but to make her this beautiful bunch of lilies! The process of layering this piece was really fun.


Date:  Tuesday 1st July 2025I have been working away on my little balcony carving this beautiful myrtle I got from Vintage Tool Shop - it was indeed a very hard wood to carve! I think I spent around 40 hours carving this shape, and I learnt so much. I then painted my little winter doll in acrylic and finished with oil. She wears my green hand-knit alpaca bonnet and my handmade cotton coat just like me.

This piece felt like a sweet symphony of combined skills. She will be very proudly on display at Jacky Winter Gallery from Friday the 11th in their new group exhibition ‘Assembly’!


Date:  Saturday 31st May 2025A new painting for autumn that is very spring-like, a cheerful group of irises. I’ve been exploring a fast-paced and loose approach to painting, with a limited palette, all mixed into the colour before. The results feel inviting and moving.
